Flute Haven 2012 -
The Programs

Programs at Flute Haven

We are offering four program at Flute Haven 2012. Click on each of the program to see details and the schedule:

  • Weeklong Program: Tuesday—Sunday, September 11—16, 2012. This is the primary program for people who wish to improve their playing and jam with others.

  • Recording Program: Tuesday—Sunday, September 11—16, 2012. A program that combines portions of the weeklong program with three days in a recording studio and culminates in a production-quality CD developed by the group.

  • Leadership Program: Sunday—Sunday, September 9—16, 2012. Designed for people who lead or wish to lead flute circles and Native Flute workshops, this program meets for two days before the Weeklong program to focus on facilitation skills, and then gives participants the opportunity to lead some activities and sessions during the Weeklong Program.

  • Weekend Program: Friday—Sunday, September 14—16, 2012. Only have the weekend to join us? The weekend program meets from Friday evening through Sunday noon and lets you participate in the workshops, jamming, and social evening events.

In addition, we have a Musicianship Program that provides Native American flute players with a comprehensive background in the elements needed to be a well-rounded musician and facilitator of music gatherings. This typically involves several years to complete the requirement of this program, including participation in one Leadership Program at Flute Haven.
